I only tried to rear this species ones, on Beech. They did
very well in the first 3 instars, but when reached the 4th,
they didn't eat any more, and just died. I think that Beech
is not a proper foodplant, and best could be used Rhobinia
or Salix. Eggs will have there 'black dot' if fertile, like many
Automeris species have.
